VOLUME 2This Volume 2 follows directly as a continuation of Volume 1 in form and function (a complete full page of text opposite each photograph). However, it does not include any further historical content. Volume 2 was separated from Volume 1 only as a means of reducing the physical size of Volume 1. The photographs of Volume 2 are the equal of Volume 2. The effect of Volume 2 is to apply more text to the subject of social values than is found in Volume 1 with each page of text being a self-contained source of discussion designed to draw out the reader‘s thought processes and expand the reader‘s horizons (“at sea the horizon is as far as the eye can see“). Volume 2 can be considered the second of a “Flight Deck” trilogy.
