Click on a thumb-nail above to read and peruse some pages of this book. Learn basic lessons of life, one day at a time, as derived from the flight deck of a WWII aircraft carrier. This first of a scholastic trilogy will ring its concepts against those of your considered thoughts. The photographs of our naval history and heritage are merely “icing on the cake“. In addition, never before has a book described the actions and conditions on the 2.2 acre flight deck of a 100-aircraft WWII fleet aircraft carrier. The 776 pages of this book contain 355 B/W 8x10 photographs of all aspects of activities on an active flight deck. NOTE: Finished, but unpublished, are the other two volumes of this trilogy: Volume 2 contains 820 pages, including 420 pages of text which are divided equally between action on the flight deck and a rendering of personal character-values (398 B/W 8x10 photos). The 410 pages of Volume 3 text deal with action on the flight deck and an equal amount of high school level technology (to generate that essential and irreplaceable INTEREST in scholastic topics) plus a 50 page primer on the U.S. Constitution (860 pages, 402 B/W 8x10 photos). This greatly expanded (text) second edition (Vol. 1) is available in quantities of three hundred books minimum. (The First Edition can be obtained by visiting www.ship-n-planes.com.)
Ship-n-Planes Publishing Co. 13705 Lakewood Ct. Rockville, MD 20850 new@navy-wwii-memoir.com Publisher’s Note Never before and never again (first-person//propeller-aircraft) will there ever be another book about this subject of flight deck activities. This absolute uniqueness, for all time, by definition makes this book an object of legitimate and genuine interest. However, one should not judge a book by its cover for this book in fact is an “encyclopedia” of the solid mores and values of generations past, with applications to the here and now. |
